We took the subway from Hoboken, New Jersey into New York. It was my first subway ride ever! It was a little freaky knowing we were going under the river, and when we got going really fast, I did have some images of Willy Wonka's crazy boat ride in the tunnel running through my head!
When we came up the subway steps and into New York City, I can honestly say I have never seen so many people in my life! Except maybe at the Magic Kingdom on Easter. It is crazy how many people are out walking the streets of New York City! We headed to Times Square, dodging all the "Elmos" and people who want us to take a bus tour of the city.
Then we headed to see where my favorite celebrity spends much of his time...unfortunately, he is out of town this week.
The biggest thing on my checklist at school before heading to Jersey was finishing our informational books so they could be sent to StudenTreasures to be published. Teaching my students to use Publisher is one of my favorite things to do. They soak up the information like a sponge, and before I know it, they are showing me how to do things even though I've been using the program for years!
I'm joining a whole bunch of other great TPT'ers for an Easter Sunday Sale! My whole store will be 20% off! Fill up your Easter basket with some goodies to get you through the end of the year! Come check it out here.
Be sure to hop on over to Doodle Bugs Teaching for all the other Easter weekend Five for Fridays!
