This week it's all about digging out those old photos for a Summer Flashback! It was not easy for me to find photos from my childhood. Most of the pictures my parents have are on slides. How do you even go about turning those into photos or getting them on the computer? I'd be interested to know.
I did find a couple pictures of me at my grandparent's house. I used to love to go there and spend a week on the farm. Here I am with their dog, Pepper. Check out the shirt and the hair!
I loved going on rides with our pony, Lady. Too bad she's cut off in this picture. :(
We usually head to Florida and Uncle Todd's house at spring break, but a number of years ago, we did go in the summer. Here we are with Minnie Mouse at Animal Kingdom.
A really fun place to eat is the SciFi Theatre at Hollywood Studios. You sit in a car and watch old, cheesy movie clips on a drive-in movie screen. Look how happy Jake and I look in the back seat! Bonny, on the other hand, must have sensed what was coming...shortly after this picture was taken, Jake proceeded to throw up all over the back seat! That's what 95 degree heat and four cups of chocolate milk will do to you!
One summer our whole family took a camping trip out to the Black Hills in South Dakota. Love this picture of Jake and Timm. He has always been a Daddy's boy.
For my entire life though, summer time has meant heading Up North, which for us was pretty much anywhere north of West Branch. Every few years, we try to take a trip to Mackinac Island where it is required that you rent bikes to ride all the way around the island and then eat as much fudge as humanly possible!
This last picture is from a camping trip we took with a bunch of friends. I have no idea what happened to Jake's sucker, but this picture always cracks me up!
Make sure you head over to My Day in K for all the other Summer Flashbacks!
