"Start the Year Out Right, Letters to Parents" is one of my most wish-listed items, and I'm excited to say I stayed up til the wee hours of last night finishing an update on this great back to school product! My other deal of the day was one of my favorite projects I finished this last school year, my Nonfiction Reading Unit Using Zoobooks.  I have always loved Zoobooks as do my students every year, and I struggled with a way to get started teaching nonfiction strategies when all the kids don't have the same book to read.  Zoobooks were a great answer to that problem!  My classroom and school libraries already contained many copies of these high-interest books and they are easy to duplicate on the copy machine for the class and partner work.
