The first thing I did was glue the ribbon around the front and back of my chalkboard. Then I glued the front and back signs in the middle of each side and set it on my display stand. And that's it! How easy was that?!
So, this is my plan for using it. In the morning, my students bring me their planners and homework. If they do not have an assignment completed, I write it on the next page in their planner (so parents will see it when they sign it that night) and I write it on a 2 x 2 sticky note with their name and student number. I then place the sticky note on the Late Work board.
During the day, I turn the board around facing the class, so they will be reminded to complete their assignment when they have time. When a student completes a late assignment, they bring it up to my desk, remove the sticky note from the board, place it on their late paper, and set it on my desk.
